Suggest an Edit to a Place
Correct outdated or wrong details on a place, and see how verified owners review, accept, or reject suggestions.
How to suggest an edit
If a place's details look outdated, incomplete, or wrong — a changed phone number, new hours, an old address — any Stitch user can suggest a correction without needing a Places Business Account.
- Open the place profile.
- Tap Suggest an Edit.
- Choose the field you want to correct (name, category, phone, website, hours, address, or description) and enter the updated value.
- Submit the suggestion — it's queued for the place's verified owner, or for Stitch, to review.
How owners review, accept, or reject suggested edits
If you're the verified owner or manager of a place, suggested edits from other users appear in a review inbox on that place's management screen.
- Open the place profile you manage and go to its suggested edits section.
- Review each suggestion against what you know to be accurate.
- Accept a suggestion to apply it to the live listing, reject it to discard it, or apply only part of a suggestion if it bundles multiple field changes.
What happens if there's no verified owner
For places without a verified owner — including most Google-backed places that haven't been claimed — suggested edits don't have an owner to review them. Stitch may review and apply well-supported suggestions directly in that case, particularly for clear factual corrections. This doesn't change the underlying Google data; it only updates how the place is presented on Stitch.
