These guidelines exist to make Stitch a safe, respectful, and trustworthy place for everyone. By using Stitch, you agree to follow these standards. Please read them carefully.
Stitch is built on the principle that everyone deserves to communicate freely and safely. You must treat all users with dignity and respect at all times. Harassment, bullying, intimidation, hate speech, and any form of discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, or any other characteristic will not be tolerated under any circumstances. This applies to all interactions on the platform — private messages, group chats, @mentions, calls, stories, and any other form of communication. A disagreement or argument does not justify abusive language, personal attacks, repeated unwanted calls, or sustained campaigns of harassment against another user. If you disagree with someone, express that disagreement respectfully or disengage from the conversation entirely. We take reports of harassment seriously and investigate all credible reports promptly. Repeated or severe violations will result in permanent account termination.
You may not use Stitch to share, distribute, promote, or facilitate any content or activity that violates applicable law in any jurisdiction. This includes but is not limited to: • Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property rights • Content related to illegal weapons, controlled substances, or other regulated goods • Fraud, scams, identity theft, and financial crimes • Content that violates privacy laws, including unauthorised sharing of personal data • Coordinating illegal activities of any kind If you receive content you believe is illegal, use the in-app report function immediately. Stitch cooperates fully with law enforcement requests made through proper legal channels.
Stitch is a platform for genuine human connection. Automated, deceptive, or manipulative behaviour undermines trust and degrades the experience for everyone. You may not: • Send unsolicited bulk messages, chain messages, or automated spam to other users • Abuse @mentions, group notifications, calls, stories, or group invites to harass, pressure, or spam other users • Use bots, scripts, or other automated tools to interact with the platform or other users • Create fake accounts, impersonate real people or organisations, or misrepresent your identity • Send phishing links, malware, or any content designed to deceive users into revealing personal or financial information • Conduct pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing campaigns, or other deceptive financial schemes • Artificially inflate engagement, followers, or perceived popularity through fake interactions Authenticity is fundamental to what makes Stitch valuable. Deceptive behaviour harms the entire community.
The safety of children and young people is our highest priority on this platform. We have an absolute zero-tolerance policy toward any content that sexualises, exploits, endangers, or harms minors in any way. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind — including drawn, illustrated, or AI-generated content — is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement authorities immediately upon discovery. Content that facilitates grooming — including attempts to gain the trust of minors for the purpose of exploitation, encouraging minors to produce sexual content, or soliciting minors in any way — will result in immediate account termination and law enforcement referral. If you suspect a minor is being exploited or abused on Stitch, please report it immediately through the in-app report function and contact your local law enforcement.
Stitch may not be used to threaten, glorify, incite, or coordinate acts of violence against any individual, group, or institution. This includes: • Direct threats of physical harm toward specific individuals or groups • Content that glorifies or celebrates acts of violence, terrorism, or mass harm • Promotion of terrorist organisations, extremist ideologies, or violent movements • Content that incites others to commit acts of violence • Encouraging or facilitating self-harm or suicide We recognise the importance of discussing difficult topics including violence in historical, educational, journalistic, and artistic contexts. Content that analyses, critiques, or reports on violence without promoting it is generally permitted. The line is crossed when content encourages, celebrates, or facilitates real-world harm. We report credible threats of violence to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
Privacy is a fundamental right that Stitch is built to protect. You must respect the privacy of others on and off the platform. Prohibited behaviour includes: • Sharing private information about another person without their explicit consent — including home addresses, phone numbers, financial information, or workplace details (a practice sometimes called "doxxing") • Sharing intimate images of another person without their consent, including images originally shared in the context of a private relationship • Recording and sharing private conversations without the knowledge of all participants, where required by applicable law • Using information obtained through Stitch to stalk, track, or harass individuals • Attempting to discover the real-world identity of someone who wishes to remain anonymous Violations of this section may also constitute crimes under applicable law, and Stitch will cooperate with law enforcement in investigating such incidents.
Maintaining an authentic and trustworthy user base is essential to the safety and reliability of Stitch. You agree to: • Create accounts only with accurate and truthful registration information • Use a consistent identity — either your real name or a stable pseudonym — rather than creating throwaway accounts • Maintain only one active Stitch account unless explicitly authorised by Stitch • Not create new accounts to circumvent bans, suspensions, or other enforcement actions on previous accounts • Not sell, transfer, or share access to your Stitch account with other individuals • Not attempt to access other users' accounts without authorisation Accounts found to be impersonating celebrities, public figures, brands, or other individuals will be suspended. Accounts created specifically to evade previous enforcement actions will be permanently banned.
You may not take actions that compromise the technical integrity of Stitch or interfere with other users' ability to use the platform normally. Prohibited actions include: • Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of Stitch • Attempting to access Stitch servers, databases, or infrastructure without authorisation • Using vulnerabilities, exploits, or bugs to gain unauthorised access or capabilities • Disrupting or degrading the service for other users through denial-of-service attacks or other technical interference • Scraping user data from the platform without explicit permission from Stitch • Bypassing technical measures put in place to enforce these guidelines • Abusing notification, call, reporting, group-control, or account-verification systems in ways that degrade safety or reliability If you discover a security vulnerability in Stitch, please report it responsibly to support@stitchmessaging.com rather than exploiting it. We take security reports seriously and will acknowledge and address legitimate reports promptly.
Violations of these Community Guidelines may result in a range of enforcement actions depending on the severity and frequency of the violation: • Warning — a formal notice that the behaviour violates our guidelines • Content removal — specific content is removed from the platform • Temporary restriction — limited ability to send messages or use certain features for a defined period • Account suspension — temporary loss of access to the account • Permanent ban — irreversible termination of the account and all associated data • Law enforcement referral — serious violations including threats of violence, CSAM, and illegal activity may be reported to relevant authorities We reserve the right to take enforcement action at our sole discretion. If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting support@stitchmessaging.com with a clear explanation of your case. We review all appeals fairly but our decisions are final. For questions about these guidelines, contact support@stitchmessaging.com.
When a user submits a report, their device may share a limited evidence packet with Stitch for review. This normally includes the report reason, account and conversation identifiers, message IDs, timestamps, message types, media/file metadata, and the last 5 recent messages from the reported user in that chat. Stitch does not routinely access private chats outside of moderation review. This evidence is used only for safety review, enforcement decisions, appeals, and legal compliance where required.
Disappearing messages help users manage privacy and storage, but they do not make harmful behavior acceptable. Content that violates these guidelines is still prohibited even if it is sent with a 24-hour, 7-day, or 90-day timer. Recipients may still report disappearing messages, and a report may include limited recent content voluntarily submitted by a participant for safety review. Do not use disappearing messages to harass, threaten, scam, exploit, or evade moderation.
