Get Directions to a Place
Open turn-by-turn directions to any place in Apple Maps or Google Maps directly from its Stitch profile.
How to get directions
Every place profile with a known address includes a Directions button that hands off to your device's mapping app rather than showing a route inside Stitch itself.
- Open the place profile.
- Tap Directions.
- On iPhone, choose Apple Maps or Google Maps if you have both installed; on Android, choose Google Maps or another maps app you have installed.
- Your chosen maps app opens with the place's address already entered as the destination, ready for turn-by-turn navigation.
If you don't have a maps app, or you're on the web
If your device doesn't have a compatible maps app installed, or you're using Stitch on the web, tapping Directions opens the address in a web-based maps view in your browser instead of a native app.
Stitch hands off only the destination address to the maps app you choose — it doesn't track your route, travel time, or location history after the handoff.
